BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JUNE 20TH 2017 – Thirty-one-year old Darnell Govia of Phillip’s Village went to see a friend at the J.N. France Lab and left in a body bag, becoming the Federation’s 16th murder victim for 2017.
Govia was shot to death when he was pursued by a man who sort him out and fired a reported 10 bullets, eight of which hit him.
Persons at the laboratory ducked for cover after a lone gunman opened fire. The shooter is in police custody and was arrested in the area.
According to reports Govia was at the hospital waiting on a friend who was at the laboratory.
“Another fellow came through the hospital looking for him. (Govia) Bushman ran in the direction of the lab and was followed by the gunman who fired bullets at him,” the person said.
